Ok, Sugars, I always come to this site when I need help - because no one can beat any of my sugar gals when it comes to resourcefulness and smarts!
Here is the challenge:
Since the premiere of Tropic of Thunder in LA, I have been salivating for this dress worn by Jennifer Meyer...but can find no mention of who makes it or where I can get it! I did some searching, but to no avail! Can someone help me find it or or something reasonably close??

Thanks for your help in advance, sugar dears! And a big shoutout to Cleo777, who is also coveting said dress! We will both owe your our undying gratitude if someone can find it for us!
Fred Perry
Martini this looks like it could be a Pucci, a Prada or a Miu Miu. But I'll investigate further for you.
1I'll help! I'll help!
2I could also be a TIBI
3Thanks, Martini! Hope we can get an ID! It's so cute.
4Yeah I was thinking Pucci too.
5No luck...sorry. But I'll tell you this, that style is a throwback to 1976 cause I wore pla-lenty when I was 4ish
6I have no idea who it's from. But I do think that if you want a cheep version, get some fabric like it and get it made, it's not very difficult and this wouldn't cost a lot of labourtime (money).
7I have that material (Or something VERY close to it) at home. That looks like an easy enough pattern, want me to make you a knock off? LMAO
8OMG, Mykie - you could go into business!

It is not where to buy it BUT it is funny. Mischa just doesn't look quite as good in it. (That's as nice and positive as I could put it.)
10hmmmmm....I haven't seen this anywhere....I will investigate too!
11Ok. Here we go… This is what I found: supposedly is a Vanitas Kimono Dress in Green Dot.
I couldn't confirm it yet, but I'll put some detectives in the field.
Ho and BTW Mykie, you're very funny, we made went
. I hope you didn't mean at home being part
of the decoration.
12eu - wow, the cut is super close! I am searching Vanitas for the print...
13Have you find it on-line yet?
14I did, the cut is right (from what I can see) but I can't find it available in any pattern remotely similar to this one. I am e-mailing a rep for the company to find out! LOL - I am not kidding when I say I am really wanting this dress!
15YAP! You sound like a woman with a mission. You know it needs one to know one and I certainly recognize the mood.
16*fingers crossed the rep can ID it*
17I'll be on lookout-- but fun story: I saw Toby & Jennifer at LA airport in Admirals Club on my back to Washington DC from a trip to Australia. She was still pregnant then. Which brings me to observe that so many dresses in vogue could be maternity. Roomy, high waisted yet so feminine and fashionable!
18OH, Pamela you have no idea....I would LOVE to see her/get a chance to meet her, I think she is just fabulous! Lucky you!!!
